Ticket selling software: from listing to organizer payout
September 03, 2026

Ticket selling software is the system that lists an event, holds the ticket types and allocations, takes the buyer's payment, and delivers a valid ticket. Most products that rank for the term are built for the person running one event. Create the event, set the prices, share the link, admit people at the door. If you run the platform those organizers sit on, you need all of that and one more thing.
The extra thing is settlement, and EukaPay is the layer that handles it. Money arrives from thousands of buyers and is owed to hundreds of organizers, in different currencies, on a clock. This guide covers what ticket selling software includes, what to require of it, and how the organizer payout works once the sale is done.
In this guide, you'll learn:
What ticket selling software covers, from the listing through to ticket delivery
The four things to check before you buy: fee model, checkout control, payout responsibility, and settlement currency
Who pays the organizer in a marketplace, a white-label platform, and an in-house build
How EukaPay handles crypto pay-ins from buyers and payouts to organizers in one account
What ticket selling software actually includes
Every product in this category covers the same three jobs. The differences are in who owns each one.
Listing and ticket inventory - the event, the ticket types, and the allocation
The software stores the event, the ticket types, the prices, and how many of each exist. It decrements the allocation as sales come in and closes the ticket type when the allocation runs out. Holding that inventory is the ticketing platform's own job, not the payment provider's.
Checkout - the page where the buyer pays
The buyer picks a ticket type, enters their details, and completes payment in a browser. Two things vary at checkout, and both matter to conversion. The first is whether the buyer stays on your domain or gets redirected to a platform-branded page. The second is which payment methods the checkout offers.
Delivery and entry - the ticket the buyer receives
After the payment confirms, the software issues the ticket and sends it to the buyer. Scanning that ticket at the door is also the ticketing platform's job, not the payment provider's. A payments product moves money and confirms it. The entry check stays with the ticketing platform.
How to evaluate event ticket sales software
Feature checklists are easy to fill in, so they rarely separate two products. These four questions do.
Fee model - who absorbs the charge on each ticket
Ticketing products charge in different shapes, and the shape decides who pays the charge. A charge added at checkout is paid by the buyer and can show up in your abandonment numbers. A charge deducted from the organizer payout is paid by the organizer and can show up in your renewal conversations. Settle which one the product does before you price your own platform.
Checkout control - whether the buyer stays on your domain
A redirect to someone else's branded page can cost conversion, and the cost is often highest on a phone in a queue. A redirect also tells your organizers whose platform they are really on. If you sell to organizers on your brand, the checkout has to carry your brand.
Payout responsibility - who owes the organizer
Payout responsibility is what separates a marketplace from a platform. On a marketplace, the marketplace owes the organizer and sets the terms. On your platform, you owe the organizer. That means you need a way to send money out as well as take it in. Our guide to
choosing a payment provider for a ticket sales platform
covers the shortlist criteria.
Settlement currency - what you hold and what you pay in
A touring event often sells in one currency and pays organizers in another. If the product settles to one currency only, every cross-border organizer needs a manual conversion. Check the settlement currency list before you sign, not after your first international on-sale.
Does ticket selling software pay the organizers?
Usually not. The listing, checkout, and delivery layers stop at the confirmed ticket. Paying out is a separate money-movement problem, and comparison pages almost never score it.
With EukaPay, both sides run in one account. Crypto pay-ins from buyers land in your account balance. You move funds from the account balance to the payout balance, then create a payout for each organizer. Payouts go out in USDC, USDT, ETH, or BTC. Asset and network are set per payout, so one organizer can take USDC on Tron while another takes BTC. Mass payouts run as a recipient list uploaded in the merchant dashboard. The
is the other route, and it creates one payout per request from your own system. Payouts are not tied to banking hours or the banking calendar.
An event that moves or gets called off puts the refund question in front of you before the organizer payout does. We cover the buyer-facing process in

How to choose
Marketplace ticketing platform | White-label platform you operate | Ticketing stack you build | |
|---|---|---|---|
Who the buyer pays | The marketplace | Your platform | Your platform |
Who owes the organizer | The marketplace, on its terms | You, on your terms | You, on your terms |
What you integrate to move money | Nothing | A pay-in and payout provider | A pay-in and payout provider, plus your own ledger |
Who picks the settlement currency | The marketplace | You | You |
EukaPay is the pay-in and payout provider in the second and third routes, so you keep the checkout on your domain and still pay organizers from the same account. In the first route, Eventbrite, SimpleTix, and Ticket Tailor run the listing, the ticket types, and a check-in app themselves, and they set the organizer payout terms. If you operate the platform instead of listing on one, EukaPay is the provider to integrate.
One platform for deposits, payouts, and fiat settlement
One EukaPay account carries instant crypto-to-fiat conversion at a locked exchange rate to remove your exposure to crypto price swings, support for most major cryptocurrencies, and settlement in USD, EUR, GBP, and CAD to your bank account. Buyers can pay in BTC, ETH, LTC, SOL, USDC, or USDT at checkout. The exchange rate is locked on every conversion by default, on pay-ins and on payouts. A crypto payment confirms on-chain, so protection against chargebacks is a property of the payment method.
For an operator, that means the on-sale and the organizer payout stop being two integrations with a spreadsheet between them. If you are choosing ticket selling software this quarter, put the organizer payout on the requirements list, and put EukaPay on it. Start with the staging environment and the payout endpoints.

Frequently asked questions
What is ticket selling software?
It is the system that lists an event, holds the ticket types and allocations, takes the buyer's payment, and delivers a valid ticket. Some products also run entry at the door.
What should you look for in event ticket sales software?
Check four things. How the per-ticket charge is applied, whether the buyer stays on your domain at checkout, who owes the organizer after the sale, and which settlement currencies are supported.
Does ticket selling software pay event organizers?
Most of it does not. A marketplace pays organizers on its own terms, and a platform you operate has to send those payouts itself. EukaPay handles the payout side from the same account that takes the pay-ins.
Which cryptocurrencies can ticket buyers pay with?
Buyers can pay in most major cryptocurrencies, including BTC, ETH, LTC, SOL, USDC, and USDT.
Which cryptocurrencies can organizers be paid in?
Organizer payouts are sent in USDC, USDT, ETH, or BTC, on the Ethereum, Tron, or Bitcoin networks. Asset and network are set per payout.
Can I pay hundreds of organizers at once?
Yes. Upload the recipient list as a CSV file in the merchant dashboard. The Payout API is the other route and it creates one payout per request.
Does EukaPay handle ticket scanning and entry?
No. Ticket issuance, inventory, and scanning stay with your ticketing platform. EukaPay covers the pay-in, the conversion, and the organizer payout.
Which currencies can I settle to?
Fiat settlement reaches your own bank account in USD, EUR, GBP, and CAD, among others. You can also choose to settle in crypto.
