Responsibilities

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help design robust and scalable architecture, implement comprehensive and secure APIs, as well as developing highly engaging and effective interfaces that transform complexity into graceful elegance. Lead and influence the engineering team to adopt the good practices of adopting clean design patterns, apply error handling and monitoring, and design scalable applications. Also, you need to write clean, scalable, high quality code, with unit tests and integration tests.

• Drive effort to improve the engineering process, testing, tooling, and coding standard

• Perform thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback

• Designing and building components with dependencies in mind

• Support QA with testing your code

• Lead engineering effort and work with teams across the organization to improve business metrics

• Build new tools for our operation teams, or iterate on existing tools

Required Experience

• 2+ years of experience with Node.js, TypeScript

• 2+ years of experience with React (Next.js experience preferred)

• 5+ years of frontend development experience building scalable web services

• Solid understanding of JavaScript and HTML5

• Solid experience writing RESTful API endpoints

• Knowledge of RDBMS (MySQL) and NoSQL (DocumentDB, MongoDB)

• Knowledge of design patterns

• Knowledge of security best practices

• Have a good product understanding in improving business metrics and user engagement

• Passion for user experience, performance, and uptime

• A love for learning and staying on top of the latest in web development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field

• Development experience with programming languages

• SQL database or relational database skills

Compensation

• 45K - 80K CAD Full-Time Salary, commensurate with experience

• Equity Based Compensation (Stock Options)
